Please Note(Mosque Etiquette):

1. Whilst we do not impose a dress code on our visitors, cleanliness and modesty is appreciated and respected.

2. Men and Women pray in separate sanctuaries but on the first Friday of each month we will recongregate for circle time in the community hall (basement) after the service.

3. We remove footwear on entering the mosque and we do not traditionally have chairs – we sit on the carpet.

4. If you or any in your group have special needs please let us know in advance and we will try and accommodate to the extent possible.

5. If they are familiar with the practice, visitors may join us in prayer. If not, they may still observe the prayer but will need to stay towards the back of the mosque as we pray in rows shoulder to shoulder, feet to feet, without any gaps. A head-covering is advised for women joining in prayer.

Thank you to Sh. Sophiyan who attended the interfaith recognition event and accepted the award for the faith community of the year for our work in feeding the homeless. He accepted this with humility and specifically mentioned that the recognition really belongs to the people who make it happen including the Bengali, Indo-Pak and West African teams who volunteer their time and resources to make this happen 3 times a month. Our outreach and safety initiatives were also recognized with thanks in large part to our da'wah team.

Big Thank you to Brothers and Sisters who attended and helped with the meeting with Thurston county sheriff's department. The lieutenant and about a dozen officers attended and advised on community safety. There will be follow up but immediately we need 10 volunteers to keep watch during jum'a prayers. Contact Br. Mustafa.

Arabic class every Thursday for adults @ 8pm.

Those who pledged at fundraiser pls make good on pledges - we have much outstanding work including bathrooms that need to be taken care of.

Please contact our treasurer and pay your membership dues - $35 per family.

New Muslim Sat class taking a break thru Aug. Thank you to Br. Zahir, Sh. Sophiyan and teachers to make this happen and to the new Muslims who made time to attend.

We are in the process of forming a Masjid Advisory committee. The committe will focus on Revenue, Education, Reverts Support & Youth Engagement. Brothers are encouraged to contact Osman Yusof or Mustafa Mohammed Ali to join. Sisters are encouraged to contact Sr. Nayla or Sr. Rokaih Vansot.

Br. Sen Tith (Imam Sophiyan's Father) is collecting donations to expand a Masjid (musallah) in Cambodia. Its too small for the population of that village. Please support and contribute generously.
